Seasons of Transition

Matt reflects on recent transitions: moving into a new office and beginning a Ph.D. program at Marymount University. He highlights the opportunities growth can bring and encourages readers to see transitions as a chance for resilience and renewal.

Life is full of transitions, and this season has brought some big ones for me. I’ve moved into a new office space in Lubbock, creating a fresh environment for Tactical Counseling clients to feel supported and cared for. At the same time, I’ve started a Ph.D. program at Marymount University. This is an exciting step that deepens my commitment to learning, research, and building bridges between mental health, first responders, and public health.
Transitions can feel both energizing and uncertain, but they always hold opportunity. For me, these shifts are reminders that growth is a process, and the journey is just as important as the destination.
